Movie Structure

Aristotle was the first to pontificate on 3-act story structure. After 2,300 years, do you believe we have discovered nothing new about screenwriting? If you talk with folks in Hollywood about anything but 3-act structure, you are treated as clueless. The conversation terminates. For a typical 120 page movie script, act-2 is twice as long as act-1 and act-3 with a "change of momentum" dead center. So, shoudn't we call this 4-act structure? In 58 pages, you will learn two paradigms that answer many of the inevitabe questions when someone tells you your act-2 (60 pages) needs work.
